I have selected the 3 best FREE Photography apps that I have found so far on the Apple Appstore for iPhone (some of these have iPad derivatives as well so they would be applicable).

Morelomo
Morelomo takes the concept of Lomography straight to the iPhone. A Lomo camera is a type of camera that takes a picture but introduces off-colours, wrong focusing, vignetting of the image to produce a once in a life time picture. Where some might think it is a ‘bad photo’, others will think it is a work of art.
Below I have used Morelomo on a photo (159Ti) to show you the effect.

Color Splash Free
Like ‘Sin City’, the effect of highlighting a specific colour within a grey to black background has been transplanted to the iPhone with Color Splash Free. The App can take a normal picture and make it stand out as extraordinary. It’s simple to use, has a lot of applications and really jumps out when highlighting bright, rich colours. This is a normal photo of a Mito where it has been applied. The effect is quite noticeable.

Pixlr-o-matic
This is one of the best photo effect application Apps that I have found and, best of all, its free. Pixlr-o-matic gives you the ability to add filters, photo enhanced effects and package the final photo onto a frame of your choice. This is a great app if you are thinking about creating some photo-art-work of an Alfa Romeo to put in your living room next to your family portraits.
