Being an Alfanatic is more than just driving a Alfa. It is about living it and breathing it, even when the odds are against you. This has never been more true than the story of Nicus Schwartz. Overcoming massive odds he never let his passion die. This guy is a true Alfanatic and an inspiration for the rest us to to look at these beautiful machines and feel lucky every day for the chance to experience the driving pleasure they offer, as well as be a part of their heritage. Hi my name is Nicus Schwartz.

Born June 1990. My love affair for Alfas unconsciously began with my baptism in late 1990. Earlier that year my grandfather had a back surgery and bought the Alfa in his hospital bed after he had to sign the cheque three times to buy it as a student car for my uncle. So we at alfanatics are crazy about the new range of Alfa’s currently on the market. However our passion for the brand started a long time before the new generation was even thought about. Case in point is the current state of my garage and driveway. There are many projects in the pipeline, problem is time and money. Even in the state these beauties are in, it gives me great satisfaction to know they are there and that in time they will be restored back to their full glory, watch this space.

Hagia Sophia

As Alfanatics it is our duty to keep our eyes open for opportunities on seeing Alfas in a variety of natural habitats. Recently I did just that. What am I talking about, well I was able to take a trip to Istanbul- Turkey to roam the plains of the historically rich country and try to see if I could spot one of these elusive Alfa’s in their hunting grounds between the 2 continents of Europe and Asia.
